Student Valerie Regis named winner in Haitian Creole writing competition


The Department of Modern Languages is proud to announce that FIU senior Valerie Regis has been chosen as the winner of our new Haitian Creole children's story writing competition. This competition has been created to promote literacy in Haitian Creole and also to serve our Miami community. All stories submitted to the competition will be given to a local shelter for Haitian children to read. Valerie's story, Ti Ble, was selected. Congratulations, Valerie!
