Congratulations to Anna Cepeda for winning the Sigma Delta Pi Graduate Research Grant Award 2018!
Ph. D student Anna Cepeda has won the Sigma Delta Pi Graduate Research Grant Award for $2,000 to conduct research in Spain's filmotecas at the end of June. We are all very proud of Anna for winning this national-level award.

FIU linguist Dr. Melissa Baralt has been announced as a recipient of The National Endowment for the Humanities grants for projects in the humanities. Dr. Baralt’s project, “Improving Spanish-language Teacher Training and Retention” has been funded for $100,000 and will allow for the development of Spanish-language course content and teacher training both at FIU and at Florida Memorial University. Dr Baralt's objective is to share this new teacher-training program and Spanish curriculum publicly.
