The graduate programs in Hispanic Literature are intended to prepare students to become first-rate scholars and teachers. The Master of Arts in Spanish focuses on Peninsular literature and Spanish American literature, including the literature written by Hispanics in the United States.
Spanish with an Emphasis in Applied Language, Culture, and Literature
The program consists of 33 semester hours of graduate level work, with a focus on Peninsular literature and Spanish American literature, including the literature written by Hispanics in the United States.
Combined BA/MA Spanish Pathway
To be considered for admission to the combined bachelor’s/master’s degree pathway, students must have completed at least 75 credits in the bachelor’s degree program at FIU and meet the admissions criteria for the Spanish MA.
