FIU in Seville & Granada: Spanish for Business

FIU in Seville & Granada is a Spanish-language immersion and business-focused program that allows students to explore European entrepreneurship and innovation. The program is designed for students with intermediate Spanish proficiency and includes visits to industrial parks, meetings with CEOs, and tours of companies in Seville, Granada, and Málaga. Students will engage with sectors such as sustainability, health, aeronautics, and tourism.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION
Seville is the vibrant capital of Andalucía, known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and lively culture. Granada is a historic city in southern Spain, home to the Alhambra and a hub of cultural and scientific innovation. Málaga offers coastal charm and business relevance, rounding out the program’s regional exposure.
Students will explore industrial parks in Seville, Granada and Malaga, and cultural sites such as the Cathedral of Seville, Real Alcázar, and the Alhambra in Granada. Public transportation is widely available via metro, buses, and taxis.
HOUSING
Students will stay in modern student residences:
- Seville: Palm Studios (Av. de la Palmera, 38, Sevilla, Spain)
- Granada: Liv students Granada (C. Acacias, 1, Chana, 18015 Granada, Spain)
These residences offer proximity to academic and cultural sites and include amenities for comfort and safety.

COURSES & CREDITS
Students register for a total of 6 credits:
- FOL 3955 - Spanish for Business (3 credits)
- SPN 3440 - Spanish for Business Composition (Global Learning certified) (3 credits)
PROGRAM COST
The program cost is TBD. It ncludes housing, company visits, cultural excursions, and international health insurance. The program cost does not include the non-refundable Study Abroad Fee ($195), FIU tuition for six academic credits, airfare, meals, or personal expenses.
