Marvels of Northern Italy: A Journey from Genoa to Trento

June 1 - July 18, 2026

“Marvels of Northern Italy: A Journey to Genoa and Trento” is a study abroad program designed for undergraduate students eager to expand their academic and cultural horizons. The program offers an immersive experience in two distinct Italian cities: Genoa, a bustling coastal hub of art, history, and Mediterranean culture, and Trento, a picturesque alpine city renowned for innovation, sustainability, and its unique blend of Italian and Central European influences. Through a mix of coursework, site visits, and cultural activities, students gain new perspectives on global issues while exploring the rich traditions, landscapes, and communities of Northern Italy.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION

Nestled on the Ligurian coast, Genoa is a historic port city known for its maritime heritage, Renaissance art, and winding medieval streets that showcase the vibrancy of Mediterranean life. In contrast, Trento lies in the heart of the Italian Alps, where stunning mountain scenery meets a city celebrated for its cultural diversity, innovation, and role in shaping European history. Together, these destinations highlight the dynamic contrasts of Northern Italy—coastal and alpine, historic and modern.
